Cheap land, cash for clunkers, gatling guns

April in July. Globull Warming? We'll see what August brings, maybe some May flowers? I know that some areas are having massive drought now but aren't they calling it GLOBAL warming? What do I know about it? I know if you have an average temperature for a month that hovers in the low 90's then if it's warmer then it should go to the mid 90's, right? Oh well.

Are you in the market for some reasonable land to move to or establish a get-a-way on? Try looking at http://www.ozarkland.com/ and for some really cheap land look at http://www.dirtcheapdirt.blogspot.com/ The Ozark site, of course, carries land in the Arkansas and Missouri Ozarks and dirtcheapdirt leads you to land in a variety of states but usually in the southwest US. Happy hunting!

Are you one of the people that had enough money or credit to get a new vehicle under the cash for clunkers program? Evidently in one week the year-long program ran out of money. That's a lot of cars! Chrysler had the best deal with a matching program to augment the gov't one. So your qualified trade in could be worth 7-9 Thousand dollars instead of 3,500 to 4,500. Qualified means licensed, insured for a year and the new one had to get 4 mpg's better gas mileage than the old one and the old one had to get less than 18mpg. One week to dry up a years program. Either it was mismanaged or a lot of folks bought cars in one week.

Today in the news an armed man went in the police station and nothing happened. The same man then entered a truck and drove to a hardware store, walked to the paint department and while waiting for paint to be mixed, entered into a conversation with a stranger were nothing happened. The armed man then drove home without incident.

Man, I really want one of these! You buy the kit and supply 2 Ruger 10/22 rifles and extended magazines. Oh, and you do have to supply the grins and giggles. And the massive amounts of ammo! Man oh man the fun I could have with one of 'em!

Home Defense

You and your wife are sleeping rather nicely, the kids are upstairs in bed. In the fog of sleep you dimly hear a whispered comment or two outside your window. The next thing you're aware of is the front door crashing open. What do you do? If the crash didn't include screams of "Search Warrant" then you have a real problem as criminals aren't going to give warnings like that.
You and the family come home from a late night out. You unlock the front door and walk in to see the room in destroyed. Think! The front door was locked, how did someone get in? Are they still in the house? Are the cops close enough to respond? What do you do?

There's an endless set of scenarios where you need to make instantaneous decisions to protect your family. Start by planning and then by training for your responses.

Nighttime...bedroom. The number one item should be a repeating shotgun, preferably pump action with number 4 buckshot or larger. 12 or 20 gauge as you see fit. Flashlight... a real bright one. A handgun loaded with defensive ammunition. And a cordless phone or cell phone.

Evening. Always have a handgun on your person. Train with it religiously. Have a flashlight in your pocket. A one handed knife. Train to get it out and open with both hands. A charged cell phone in the other pocket.

Daytime. Once again, have your handgun on you at all times. Do you have a shotgun or carbine handy in the house? Think, plan, train.

Do you live in a rural area where your neighbors are not close by? Then a carbine may be your bedroom companion. Think about it. If the old 30/30 will drop a 180 pound buck it should do the same for a 180 pound man. Practice. Practice. Practice.

If you are in a town that has a police department, let them do the house clearing. Is any official response going to be long enough that you and your family are endangered? Make your own decision then. Remember, plan, train, train and train.

There are a few other things you are going to need. A proper mindset, decent ammo and a good lawyers number. There are also several places to get training and if you can't afford that then there are books and videos that will give you some information that must then be turned into skills via practice.
Any lawyer or book you read on the subject of selfdefense shooting will tell you ...keep your mouth closed. Zip. Nada. When you call 911.. please send an ambulance, I was in fear for my life (for their lives). Call your lawyer. Sit down and shut up until legal counsel arrives. Do not give a BA attitude to the cops or prosecutors or media or anyone. Regretful and thankful all the time.

Home Coming Chores, jobs, gun refinishing

Well, it's another cool, rainy, global warming day. To wet to work at my dad's place and to wet to set up the saw(outside) to cut crown moulding for the kitchen. So I've done a little sheet rock repair upstairs getting ready for the kids to come and spend a couple weeks with us. They both are taking leave. Sheet rock repair, painting, cleaning, trim work, mowing and more cleaning. I have this week and next to get all my honey-do's complete. Son is going to bring his bike with him so we can get in some riding together. That aught to be fun! I wish I had a sport bike to keep up with him. I had an opportunity to buy a '96 Ducati 900 Monster way cheap when I had my M/C shop. Man, was that thing fast! Cherry Pie didn't see it my way. All she saw was the potential for tickets and mayhem. Oh, have I said I like to go FAST?

I keep looking for a job but in this area I either need an engineering degree to do what I've done for years or I'm over qualified, or my wage history is to high, or I don't have the certification for the job. Blah, blah, blah. No one cares about past performance or experience or knowledge. All they want is a sheepskin.

I really like the durability of today's polymer stocked guns but I prefer a piece of wood on my long guns and prefer the aesthetics of wood grips and a pistol. One thing I do enjoy is refinishing gun stocks. I like refinishing the metal parts also, but until I have a place to do hot bluing I am stuck with the cold process. Brownells Oxpho Blue is very easy to use and gives a durable finish. I did a Winchester 69A for my Dad. The stock had been bleached at some time so I mixed up some walnut stain with a healthy dose of cherry in it and applied a couple of coats to the stock. It sure came out nice. I reblued all the metal parts using the Oxpho and they all came out very nice. When I got done with it and gave it back to Dad, he couldn't believe it was the same gun. A couple of months later he called me and was worried about keeping it in his house with all the hoodlums in his town so I bought it off him so now it's in the safe. I would start up a small refinishing business and do the new, different coatings as well as bluing and parkerizing but I am in need of a building to do it in. And I don't want to mess with the boys and girls at the BATFE just to refinish guns.

Watch out! They're attacking private citizens now. That bastion of bastards, Move On .org has produced a video that is attacking that newly minted private citizen Sarah Palin. The liberals must be absolutely TERRIFIED of her. We never heard of Sarah until McCain brought her to the stage where she made an outstanding speech and immediately invigorated the Conservative movement. Upon hearing the Conservative reaction to this the liberals starting shittin' kittens. Oh Lord, a family centered, antiabortion, progun, intelligent, articulate, beautiful woman in politics...for the Conservatives! Oh crap, call in the shock troops, smear her from stem to stern. Include her family at every turn! There's not a liberal that has smeared her that has the balls to stand up to her or any of her family and say it their face. I keep waiting for Todd Palin to bitch slap a few asshats.

What ever you may think of Newt Gingrich, he did present a decent plan to improve the state of health care in this nation. Now, I don't think that the USG has the legal authority to do anything with healthcare but since it is probably going to happen anyway, Newt's plan seems a lot better that that 1000 page crap that no one has read, that the One Sitting In The Presidents Chair is trying to ram down everyones throat.

diplomacy, family preparedness

When Ambassador Bolton was representing the USA we had a solid voice with a better view of the Constitution than most political appointees. He stood up to the UN and their plan to deprive us of the right to own weapons and make us like any of the third world dictatorships found today. We need ambassadors that speak softly but carry a big stick. We have a secretary of state, that has a very questionable background, going around as an extension of the Moabama apology tour.
Every Ambassador should sign a contract to never badmouth our country and they all should remember what backs diplomacy....

With the government saying it may be 5 years or more before ONE new job is created and the states going broke as well as the states suffering shortfalls in their unemployment budgets and more and more people getting layed off, maybe it's time for people, who haven't started this yet, to start stocking up on food while they have the resources to do it.
We buy beans, rice, noodles, sugar and spices in bulk at Sams Club and store it in mylar bags in 5 gallon buckets. You would be surprised at how cheap 25 or 50 pounds of beans are. You can procure food grade 5 gallon bucket from your local big box grocer and bakeries or you can order them new from several sources. Order a stock of oxygen absorbers and mylar liners to fit the buckets you have. When you have the food, liners, buckets and O2 absorbers all together do this... insert a liner into the bucket, pour 3-4 gallons of the dried food into the liner. Next, as quick as you can, toss 4-5 O2 absorbers in the liner with the food then lay a small board across the bucket and lay the top of the liner on the board nice and flat. Then take your iron set on the high setting and heat seal the top of the bag closed. We also use a shop vac to remove as much of the air as we can prior to sealing the bag. Make several trial runs to get the process down before you actually do it. All you have to do now is use a rubber hammer to seat the lid and use a Sharpie type of marker to label the bucket as to contents and packing date. There is a sublimation method using dry ice as well but we haven't tried that one yet.
As soon as I can afford a grain mill I will be storing wheat and corn as opposed to flour and meal. I figure with beans, rice, noodles, sugar, wheat, corn meal and a variety of spices and drink mixes we can live like we normally do with the exception of meat. Dehydrated meat is available so I will be making a purchase of that to augment our basic food supply. I'm not sure of the storage time of canned tuna and mackeral but aI will be checking into this. Throw in a water filter and we'll be set for floods, famine, tornadoes or even societal breakdown. Remember the fire extinguisher theory I gave a while back? In addition to the stored dry food we keep many cases of commercially canned food in the basement that we rotate into our daily cooking. We keep cases of corn, green beans, mixed veggies, potatoes, carrots and even some canned beef and soups in stock , courtesy of ALDI's. One other thing I've done is to verify that my water supply is 100 percent gravity fed. This is a really big deal if you think about it. I want to get a place in the country and put in a big garden like we had when I was a kid. Until the real estate market corrects itself and the economy gets better and I get a job that won't be happening. Can you tell me what you have done to protect your family for what may come?

Gunshow report...BUST!

We made it to the gunshow today and what a bust it was. This was hosted by the Missouri River Valley Arms Collectors. We did see many outstanding collections of Marlins, Lugers, Colts and Smith and Wessons. There were also an inordinate amount of civil war era muskets. I saw several 1903 Colt pocket pistols I would give my eye teeth for but didn't have the spare 1500 or so to do that. I saw two really fine 1900 Colt Automatics in the 2 grand range. I have toyed with the idea of starting to collect Savage pistols. Here's one in .45. When the thought first entered my head these pistols were available and wouldn't demand a new mortgage to get one. Now they are rare and expensive. So much for that idea. The last couple of shows I went to were like a fire sale. People couldn't buy guns fast enough. That wasn't the case today. Lots of lookers and few actual buyers, including me. What I feel to be 2-300 dollar guns are 4-500 dollar guns, ammo is still high (26+ dollars for a box of no name .45acp). I spoke with a couple of dealers that said it wasn't worth staying awake for! However, I did get my 7 dollars of entertainment out of it. There were more people than I have ever seen at this show, people were parked on the side of the road for over a 1/2 mile each way from the hall but still slow sales. I took the NEF Sportster .22 with the red dot sight on with a tag of $150 OBO and the ONLY offer I got was for 100 bucks! I didn't accept it. I have been seeing this more and more, people will not make a decent offer. I asked 150 he responds with a price reduction of 33 percent and won't accept a counter offer at all. His offer was for less that I have in the bare gun. This why I don't try to sell to many things any more , because people are such $^$$&^$$#* when it comes to dickering. I have had idiots offer me 1 dollar for a new 75 dollar motorcycle sprocket that I had priced at 50 bucks. They thought that was a good offer too!

Since the gunshow was a bust here's a different kind of gun show featuring my two favorite thing to look at...guns...women.

Henry Gates, Carry Clothing and I'm On a Boat

In regards to the Henry Gates issue, I want everyone to look at this Public Service messsage.
___________________________________

Friday Night! On Friday nights I like to stay up late, read, watch tv, draw, think and maybe get my drank on. I used to like to watch heavy metal music videos on one of the music channels but I haven't done that for a while. Saturday will be good as the Gun Show is coming! Maybe that sweet .22 I scored last weekend will get traded off. I'm looking for an inside the pants holster for the compact 1911 as well as a decent piece of leather for the XD 45 and .45 ammo that's not priced out of sight. A Summer Special or any of the equivalent copies would work for the 1911. I am leaning toward a duty style setup for the XD. A loaded belt ready to strap on when needed or wanted. I'm getting tired of all the holster switching lately. I have only one good carry belt and I switch between jeans and shorts depending on what I'm doing and switch between 1911 and XD depending on my preference. The duty rig isn't a concealed set up but for sudden needs would work great. I do want to get a concealed setup for the XD. It came with the XD gear but I'm not overly fond of that stuff.

I have found for the hot season a pair of jean style cargo shorts paired with a t-shirt and a loose cotton shirt is great for summer carry. An aloha shirt or a casual cotton button up are at home in the restaurant, the stores or at a cook out. The cargo or dungaree style shorts offer the pockets for knives and other needs and the t-shirt is tucked in to keep the gun off your sweaty hide and the aloha or casual is worn untucked and is plenty cool for the hottest or most humid of days. No need for all that 511 type clothing unless you insist on tacticool apparel. One small note...when buying your aloha shirt keep looking for a COTTON version. The rayon and nylons "print" the gun badly. I get nearly all of my "carry" clothing from Sears and, god help me, Wal-Mart. If you need to "dress up" a little, substitute a pair of Docker or chino shorts. I have been in meetings and sat alongside the Chief of the Po Po and not even been glanced at while attired in this manner. With a little practice you can learn to flip the unbuttoned lower portion of the shirt to the side to facilitate a smooth draw.

Global warming, Soto missed 14, no insurance

Danger, Danger! The globe is warming! WTF? The end of July in Missouri is supposed to be like the gates of hell then moving into August which is like hell itself. This year we have July days in the 70's and evenings in the 60's. Hoorah! Finally global cooling! Yaaaayyyyyy! Honestly, there is a cooling trend all over the earth and several thousand scientists that say this could go on for several decades. Great! Our government, in their infinite wisdom, has already passed a global warming bill that will tax the crap out of industry and drive us po' folk into the po' house. But at least we'll be cool while we're there.

That sure sounds like a bargain to me and there is NO government plan interfering with it.

Ohio, Sarah and a new gun, spending your way out of debt

Imagine having your car searched, thrown in jail, having your car impounded, watch lies being developed about you in front of you, having your firearms confiscated and your CCW confiscated all for following the law. This is what happened to a young man in Ohio. For doing nothing wrong. What a bunch of morons. Remind me to avoid the State of Dic..Ohio.

Guess who has had another ethics complaint lodged against her. Here's a hint ...She is the Governor of Alaska. That's right! Sarah Palin. I guess the libs think if we watch Sarah then we won't pay attention to the sliminess of the DC action.

This past weekend I acquired a New England Firearms break action .22. For 110 bucks. Got it home and found that a scope won't fit on it without interfering with the hammer, so I put a red dot sight on it. When I can work it into my limited budget I will get a set of high rings and mount a scope on it. Right now it is minute of pop can accurate and I think with some decent glass it will be minute of squirrel accurate.

With the bailouts now totaling nearly 24 TRILLION DOLLARS and the Chairman's approval dropping like a stone, I'm predicting a one term wonder for the Kenyan Superman. Him and Joe are still confident that they can spend our way out of debt. What freaking business class did they take? Do not under any circumstances let your children attend that school. Using their reasoning of spending money you don't have to get out of debt, I think I will go out and buy a Prevost diesel bus conversion to make my house payment go away. Haw, Haw, Haw! What a bunch of f*$^%* morons.
With all the talk still saying another couple years before the job market opens up I took a little tour of the house today. Freezer? Full. Pantry? Full. Storage food? 6 months for 2. Ammo? Check. Guns? Check. Barter Items? See ammo. Kerosene? Shy. For the most part with odd jobs for me and a full time job for Cherry Pie we're OK. For the time being. I do need to step up the odd jobs.
With the tour of the house I did find a few items that need worked on but those will have to figured into the budget. The truck needs front springs and a set of lifters but those will have to wait for the bucks to accumulate. The car seems OK. The house is nearly payed off and both the vehicles and the bike are payed off. And we have ZERO credit card debt. I hope all of you are doing as well as we are in these trying times. I believe I will resume deer hunting this fall to add to the larder. We have very liberal bag limits in good ol' MO. and it is possible to legally put a few deer in the freezer. We do our own processing so there is very little cost associated with this.

I have been saying that everyone needs to learn how to do something. Here's something that's pretty unique. Escape and evasion training. Learn how to pick open a set of handcuffs, work up a disguise, travel un-noticed. It sounds kinda fun even. All for about 550 bucks.

The most shocking is that it provides millions to help Palestinians immigrate from Gaza! Great! Make us pay to bring in a bunch of subversives and terrorists in training. See rule 308.

Presidential Dickcree

With all the talk of Obamas Birth Certificate issues here is something new. On his first day in office, BHO issued an executive order that basically states he won't provide any personal documents he that he doesn't want to. I guess that means his birth certificate. Take a look at this and Executive Order #13489. Am I reading this thing right?

Here's another one, state that is, that has passed a resolution claiming state sovereignty. Introducing the Great State of.....Alaska! Soon to be Ex-Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, signed the resolution. Way to go guys, keep it up!
____________________________________

The Feds have come down on Tennessee for their 2nd amendment claim to gun rights. The BATFE has sent notice to the State that all Federal gun laws supersede State laws. What bullshit! Take a look at the enumerated powers of the United States Government in Article 1 section 8 of the Constitution for These United States. There is no mention of regulating guns as being part of the federal governments duties and rights, therefore it MUST be relegated to the States. I haven't heard of the USG saying anything to Wyoming which got the ball rolling on this subject.

Cook, The Dick Act, Sotomayor, Obamacare

Here is an update on Major Cook, who was refusing to obey what he perceived to be an illegal deployment order. Since the Military withdrew his deployment order, the defense counsel, i.e. the government, says Cook no longer has "standing" to bring this suit forth. See how this game is played? It's just like a shell game or 3 card monte. Razzle dazzle, where's it at? Hit the moving target if you can. Are they going to do this for all of the Soldiers that have joined in this suit?
To make matter even better the Defense Department has joined in to the protect Maobama party. After the DOD contacted Major Cooks employer he has been FIRED. My goodness, who would have expected that? Gosh and golly! Backdoor attacks by a bunch of Chicago thugs?
________________________________________

Has anyone ever heard of the 1902 Dick Act? Neither have I. This act basically says that since the MILITIA is so vital to the interests of the good ol' US of A and firearms are vital to their role, they cannot be outlawed or banned. Way to go guys! Now, will this ever be brought to attention of the usurpers in Washington DC, those power mad boys and girls of the beltway? Here is another look at the Act. Read about it and ponder the possible results.

We have our "elected representatives" discussing the the Obama Care Bill. If you read it you don't have to go very far (page 16) to find that the bill outlaws private health care. Have any of the "elected representatives" read to page 16 or is it to big read in the time they have to vote on it? A while back Obammy said he would not sign a health care bill that adds to the deficit. The CBO says that the healthcare plan currently under"examination" will certainly add to the deficit. But, the Chairman says that his plan will pass this year anyway.

A friend of mine sent me this information this morning. It seems like the story of the Chosen One is starting to unravel. Check this out it sounds pretty serious.

AP- WASHINGTON D.C. - In a move certain to fuel the debate over Obama's qualifications for the presidency, the group "Americans for Freedom of Information" has Released copies of President Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College . Released today, the transcript indicates that Obama, under the name Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was released by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by the group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript shows that Obama (Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Foundation Scholarship program. To qualify, for the scholarship, a student must claim foreign citizenship. This document would seem to provide the smoking gun that many of Obama's detractors have been seeking. Along with the evidence that he was first born in Kenya and there is no record of him ever applying for US citizenship, this is looking pretty grim. The news has created a firestorm at the White House as the release casts increasing doubt about Obama's legitimacy and qualification to serve as president. When reached for comment in London , where he has been in meetings with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama smiled but refused comment on the issue. Britain 's Daily Mail has also carried the story in a front-page article titled, "Obama Eligibility Questioned," leading some to speculate that the story may overshadow Economic issues on Obama's first official visit to the U.K. In a related matter, under growing pressure from several groups, Justice Antonin Scalia announced that the Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday to hear arguments concerning Obama's legal eligibility to serve as President in a case brought by Leo Donofrio of New Jersey . This lawsuit claims Obama's dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. Donofrio's case is just one of 18 suits brought by citizens demanding proof of Obama's citizenship or qualification to serve as president. Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has released the results of their investigation of Obama's campaign spending. This study estimates that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds in the past year with eleven law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Mr. Kreep indicated that the investigation is still ongoing but that the final report will be provided to the U.S. Attorney general, Eric Holder. Mr. Holder has refused to comment on the matter. Show me the ...birth certificate!

A US Army Reserve Major gearing up for deployment to Afghanistan said he was not able to follow that order as the Army is working under a false President due to the birth certificate issue. In response to his claim of illegality the Army rescinded his orders. Now what does that say? There are many other soldiers following his lead in this matter. We'll see how far this suit gets.

Chambered in 38 Special it had a 5 shot cylinder and was available with 2 and 3 inch barrel lengths and is reportedly approved for +P loads. The new gun was an improvement of the I framed Terrier. Police, military and civilians bought the new pistol in untold numbers and the buying frenzy continues to this day. In 1957 Smith and Wesson moved to the number system for their handguns so the Chiefs Special became the Model 36. These guns are attractive, light and for their size accurate. They also fit in a pocket or purse very nicely.

Tea Party

We attended the Tea Party hosted at Kearney Missouri yesterday. The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps was on site and featured a couple of speakers. Other speakers included a civic leader in Kearney, a Representative from Congressman Sam Graves office, a fired up retired Marine, as well as citizens from every walk of life. When the featured speakers were done the organizer's let anyone that had something to say take the stage to make their point. One of the neatest things I saw was the number of young people there between the ages of 14 and 21. There were a couple of teenagers that really had their act together.

I did a quick count at one point and came up with 149 in attendance but the number fluctuated from a low of about 120 to a high of 180. That not to shabby considering the weather was like the government...oppressive. Mid to high 90's along with the same numbers in humidity. The crowd started out in the open area in front of the stage but quickly took possession of any shade that could be found. The overall consensus was...less government, less tax, less control. The central theme seemed to be a return to a Constitutional Republic. Do yourself a favor and try to attend a Tea Party when one comes to your area. Support our Constitution and your right to free speech. Here are a few pictures of the event.

One very pointed comment was made by a speaker. Congressman Graves could not make it to the event but sent a staffer who read a letter from Graves. As soon as the letter was read the staffer left, post haste. The comment the speaker made was... That's what's wrong with Government, they tell you what you want to hear then run away. The crowd wholeheartedly agreed with his comment. At least the staffer could have stayed for a half hour or so to hear some more of the speakers and take that info back to the Congressman.

Changes

That job I have been speaking of...it's no longer a job. A parting of the ways had to come and it did this morning. It's one of those things that you would have preferred not to happen but when it did you breathed a sigh of relief.

Since I won't be working tomorrow morning I will be able attend the Tea Party in Kearney Missouri. It is being sponsored by the Mid America chapter of the the Minuteman Civil Defense Corp. There's to be a host of speakers lined up for the day. I really wanted to go to this and now it's possible. More to come.

Take a look at this, I mean if it's good enough for the leaders of the world...............

ABC says that being the gentleman he is that he's only checking the step he came off of to assist the young lady to his rear. What bullshit! I know what he's looking at. What do you think?

I did it. No, you didn't.

If I say I did something that I was supposed to do and another person says no you didn't, isn't that the same as saying I'm a liar? That's my boss. He can't put the equation together. But it is a job. I have put up with more out of his mouth than I have ever tolerated from any human being. As a younger man I would have called him on it the first time and done what needed to be done. Now I have taken this treatment 3 times. Because it is a job.

Ron Pauls bill (HR1207) to audit the Federal Reserve got a Senate bill (S604) for the same thing started. When it got attached to another bill being voted on it was thrown out because it was legislating on an appropriations bill. Senator DeMint pointed out that there are several audits called for in that appropriations bill. The Senate leadership agreed and still threw it out. What senator is getting supplemental income from the Federal Reserve? The Fed is run by a bunch a private banks. Obamas to largest contributors were from Goldman Sachs. Is there a link in that? The USG wants to know every cent we make so they can tax us to their will and if they suspect we are not playing by their rules they will audit us from the inside out. Now we want to audit one of their biggest tools and they are going to prevent it. Wake up folks! WTF is going on here? They mortgage our lives and the lives of our children and grand children for generations to come for a "bailout" and the banker seems to have misplaced 15 or so billion and refuses to answer any questions about where ANY of the money went. The longer they can stall this action the longer they get to cook the books. I know of a few good trees. Who's got the rope?

All of the above is just another reason for all Americans to fight for a return to a constitutional government. Get a copy of the Constitution and make yourself familiar with what the government is allowed to do and not to do. Make sure that it is being taught in your kids schools. Make sure that your local and state officials know what their rights are and what the government is not allowed to do. 99 percent of what the government does is specifically delegated to the States. Which makes their actions illegal.

My Day Off

My day off. Roll out of bed early, feeling all my old sports and fights injuries pounding through my body. Watch the news until I can't tolerate all the democratic crap then stretch, get dressed and make a killer breakfast of hot sausage and egg taquitos with onions, cheese and the ubiquitous picante sauce. Mow the neighbors yard, spray her poison ivy, mow my own little piece of earth, fix the front door frame so the storm door actually fits in the frame. Made lunch of smoked chicken breast and potato salad left overs. Mess around with the 2 wedge headed shit dispensers and ponder dinner. Hot Damn! I had two beautiful ribeyes that I cut special for me and Cherry Pie. Fire up the grill, wrap a couple of spuds and toss them in. An hour later gently place the offering on the brazier, slip in my own drool. Oh damn they were good! As you can see there is not much by way of news here today as I am having a Breda moment. I can't stand to hear all the stupid shit coming out of the news channels that is being channeled in from the cesspool of Washington DC. Oh yeah, I had the water department out this morning to try and figure out why I have an intermittent loss of water pressure. They are going to vent a few of the mains and come back on Monday and check the pressure again at the meter. If that doesn't work I will get to spend an outrageous fortune replacing all the old galvanized pipes in my house with copper. I can hardly wait. At least I can go to work in the morning and get a little rest. I do have one great question though, Does the hardware store sell more, well, hardware if the teenage girl checkers all show a lotta cleavage? I got a hell of a show while I was there this morning along with the "Oh I didn't mean to let you see all that" smile. Damn I hate getting old.
speaking of old, my son will be here in the first part of August along with his lovely bride. They are driving in after she gets back to shore. She is on the Eisenhower. She is not with the ships crew but is with a squadron.
I have to say this, the Dimocrats are going to try anything they can to get the Maobama health manifesto converted into law. I don't have any full coverage health plan, I do have a major medical plan and a knee that needs replacing and I will say for the record, I do not want anything to do with this socialist health mandate they are trying to get in place. I mean if it gets into law where will all the Canadians go to get good health care?

Foreign Patrols?

We all appreciate the police patrolling our neighborhoods, right? Well, FEMA is inviting foreign troops to particicpate in a program where they patrol various US cities and states. Can you believe this? The folks in the states listed should be looking at these guys through a telescopic sight. This is like reading a disaster/doomsday novel. What other kinds of shenanigans can we expect. Is this a hint of what's to come if Barry doesn't get his way? Seriously, this needs to be stopped ASAP. Deliver verbal spankings to the politicritter of your choice.
It's things like this that keep me stocking up on all the right stuff. If you have some shooting buddies that will back you through hell or high water, start some 2-4 man action drills and get proficient at doing your own patrolling. Do you have a local militia? They offer some very good training and they offer some great services to the community. If this is your kind of thing see about joining up. Believe me, Militia is not a dirty word as some folks would have people believe. The one in this area is the Missouri 51st.

I have read that North Korea has fired off a few more missiles, these were of the SCUD type. We still hear nothing from The Great Nothing on the action of the Insane Clown. On another front, he did promise to cut one third of our nukuler stockpile while Russia has promised to move theirs around so it looks like they reduced their stockpile. While doing this Barry did call Medvedev by the name of Putin. Whoops!

Take a look at this beautiful pre-64 Winchester Model 70, the rifleman's rifle. These were some great guns. You can buy the pre-64 stain from Midway. Winchester had a specific reddish stain for this series of rifles that was very good looking.

4th activities

Well, I got to work on the 4th of July until 7pm. Then I drove like the hammers of hell to get to my fathers place about 35 miles NE of my work. Arrived just in time to wolf down a semi warm plate of food and commence preparing for my annual fireworks show. When I shoot my fireworks, it is not a haphazard event. I prepare a pictogram with all shots sequencenced and walk it through with my helpers. This year I used the last of the fireworks I had left over from our efforts at selling retail fireworks for 3 years. We had a great show with a splendid finale shot. The crowd loved it as well as the neighbors. And my elected Representative was in attendance. For the finale we had about 111 shots in the air over the course of 45 seconds. There are a few different classifications of fireworks, the most common being 1.3g and 1.4g. I have shot professional pyro in the past for about 3 years but I do get a kick out of doing these small 1.4g type of shows. As a matter of fact I would enjoy doing these for extra dough but folks don't usually know what kind of entertainment is possible from the retail type of fireworks. Then, when you add up the dollars for the material and the cost of the labor it is higher than you would think. If I had to pay retail for the things we shot last night it would have totaled over a grand. So if that was a paying gig I would have had to charge in the area of 1200 or so dollars. For a 10-15 minute production. If I cared to get the official BATFE Pyro Techs permit with fingerprint and backgrounds check I could do a small 1.3g show for the same money with a much bigger bang. But, I would need a much larger area to shoot from. And a firemarshall inspections and all the other bureaucratic crap that goes along with it. Now get this, If I could get someone to purchase a retail type of show using fireworks that anyone can buy and shoot I would have to get a license to do so. A license to add organization to what everyone does every year on the 4th. What a wonderful place this has become.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy evening to celebrate our nations independence.

What's Sarah up to?

On July 26, 2009 the next Goddess of the US will step down as governor of the great state of Alaska. That's right, Sarah is stepping down as the Gov. She is citing at this time that she will no longer cost the state of Alaske money to defend her against all the frivilous lawsuits that have sprung up since the 2009 Presidential election cycle. But... she has also said to tune ito Twitter as she will be providing more info via that means. Could it be? Will she? 2012?

I have asked on several occasions about Barry's actual cititzenship and whether he is actual legally qualified to be sitting at the Presidents desk. This guy has a good idea.

"Very Interesting questions. More questions, and this time some good questions. While I've little interest in getting in the middle of the Obama birth issue, Paul Hollrah over at FSM did so yesterday and believes the issue can be resolved by Obama answering one simple question:What passport did he use when he was shuttling betweenNew York , Jakarta , and Karachi ? So how did a young man who arrived in New York in early June 1981,without the price of a hotel room in his pocket, suddenly come up with the price of a round-the-world trip just a month later? And once he was on a plane, shuttling between New York , Jakarta , andKarachi , what passport was he offering when he passed through Customs and Immigration? The American people not only deserve to have answers to these questions, they must have answers. It makes the debate over Obama's citizenship a rather short and simple one.Q: Did he travel to Pakistan in 1981, at age 20?A : Yes, by his own admission. Q: What passport did he travel under?A: There are only three possibilities.1) He traveled with a U.S. Passport,2) He traveled with a British passport, or3) He traveled with an Indonesia passport.Q: Is it possible that Obama traveled with a U.S. Passport in 1981?A: No. It is not possible.Pakistan was on the U.S. State Department's "no travel" list in 1981.Conclusion: When Obama went to Pakistan in 1981 he was traveling either with a British passport or an Indonesian passport."
What do you think of that?

Talk about letting the cat out of the bag! Barry AKA The Chosen One is letting a passel of potential terrorist come to this country funded by ..............you and me! They will get free air travel, housing assistance and more direct from our pockets. $#%*^%$*&(*(&#*!!!!!

"Whether you are an Obama fan, or not, EVERYONE IN THE U. S. needs to know....

Something happened... H.R. 1388 was passed yesterday, behind our backs
You may want to read about it. It wasn't mentioned on the news... just
went by on the ticker tape at the bottom of the CNN screen.

Obama funds $20M in tax payer dollars to immigrate Hamas Refugees to
the USA. This is the news that didn't make the headlines...

By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure
of $20.3 million in "migration assistance" to the Palestinian refugees
and "conflict victims" in Gaza.
The "presidential determination", which allows hundreds of thousands
of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States,
was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on
February 4.

Few on Capitol Hill, or in 20 the media, took note that the order
provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to
individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support to the
Islamic Resistance Movement
(Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.

Let's review....itemized list of some of Barack Obama's most recent
actions since his inauguration:

His first call to any head of state, as president, was to Mahmoud
Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.

His first one-on-one television interview with any news organization
was with Al Arabia television.

His first executive order was to fund/facilitate abortion(s) not just
here within the U. S., but within the world, using U. S. tax payer
funds.

He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.

He ordered overseas CIA interrogation centers closed.

He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole
and the "terror attack" on 9/11.

Now we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian
refuges to move to, and live in, the US at American taxpayer expense."

How come we never heard anything about this piece of crap? What is this guy trying to do to this country?

Lotsa Junk

We all know that some people want to do away with guns. Some folks are even scared to travel with them, fearing some leftist search and seizure routine. I regularly carry in my personal autos and due to Missouri's CCW law I can even do it concealed with out a permit. Since I quit flying when they decided to treat average Americans as the enemy, I have no experience with air travel and guns. This guy does.

This is my favorite holiday. Independence Day. All it means, all it can mean and all it has meant. I view the awesome displays as re-creations of the battles that bought our freedoms. The next time you witness an fireworks display, think of it as echos of cannon and musket fire from the past. And remember that it may all come to pass again. If you think that it takes special people to fight a revolution, well you may be right. That is if by special you mean farmers, mechanics, lawyers and such. Because that's what the signers of the Declaration of Independence were. Common people who gave up everything to state their convictions. Would you do the same?

FINALLY! I got to shoot the XD 45 today. Not bad at all. I do need to work on my trigger finger placement as I'm pulling to the left. I don't have this problem with a 1911, but then I've been shooting those for 20 years or so. It's just a matter of practice. I was shooting at 7, 10 and 15 yards and turning in 2 to 2.5 inch groups nicely centered but to the left. I will look at my finger placement on the trigger and then, if needed, the front sight will be adjusted. Nothing but good times. Just what I needed with all the bs coming from DC, Minnesota, the courts and the world.
A little .45 inch therapy. And by the way, with 13 round magazines, a box goes by awful fast.

I just read that the Royal Canadian Mint is missing 15.3 million in GOLD. A recent audit concluded that it is not a paperwork error but that the physical inventory is a liiiitle short. The RCMP is investigating of course. How do you miss 15 million walking out the door? 17,500 troy ounces are not accounted for. They claim that it could have been lost in the refining process. I guess anything is possible.
