The Toilet

Yes that's my life right now, the toilet. I've been working on this freaking snow and my bad knee went to shit. Something new this time. Anyway, I had a JOB interview on Wednesday that went very well. It led to another interview today. Well crap, last night my knee went south and this morning it wasn't any better. It did tighten up enough to make the interview today. I was offered a job, which I accepted and off to the drug testing facility I went. On the way back to my truck my knee did it's new thing. I gimped to the truck and off I went homeward. It is still fucked. I'm using a cane around the house now and the junk joint has tried to collapse several times resulting in near falls. So then I hear a banging at the front door. I look, I don't know this person. So I fill my pocket and cane on down to the front door. It's just the friendly process server. Handing me my " D" papers. Yep that's right. The BIG D. In a matter of months it will be over. This is not what I asked for this is what was thrust upon me. We will see how this whole thing shakes out. I anticipate being destitute very soon as currently I am not able to do the the job I just accepted, I have no money and she is legally able to take half of the retirement I put into this house that she wanted. Half will leave me with jack shit. Not enough to buy another place, not enough to rent for any length of time which is kinda funny cause I couldn't rent anyway with out a job. And contrary to what doctors, various state offices and others say, a POS Judge says I am not disabled The only good thing is that she is being kind and generous as possible. So, no more references to Cherry Pie will be seen here. The pie has gone bad.

Round Two Aftermath

Well it looks like the storm petered out ling before they expected it to. I got the snowthrower fired up (eventually) and attacked the white mass. It was a heavy wet snow and kept clogging up the discharge shoot. I ended up doing some shoveling which really takes a toll on my broken body. Hey, what are drugs for right? We ended up with another 8-10 inches here. It's kinda hard to tell with the drifting. Here's what it ended up looking like.

A drift on the berm behind the house SW corner

Drift on berm behind the house center of back fence

Looking down on the driveway and street As you can see the city has yet to get off their asses.

Walkway out of the front door.

Round Two

Late yesterday the snow begain in fits and starts. On, off, on, off. Around 8 pm it actually started snowing. Tiny little flakes driven by highwinds. With the temperatures in the high 30's the last couple of days the air is moisture laden creating a wet, heavy snow. While it's not happening at my house yet, there are reports of power lines down and tree limbs breaking under the weight of this snow. We can expect this stuff to end some time Wednesday! After all the "models" have been revised we look be in for 6-10 inches of this wet snow. And the wind is howling, driving snow into drifts that will soon block streets and highways. So, it's a day to relax, have some hot chocolate and watch a few movies. Here's the view out my front door this morning.

And Once Again

We just got things mostly cleaned up after the snow storm this past week. Now the National Weather Service tells us this...

"Significant winter storm possible Sunday night through Tuesday...

A winter storm system will lift into the area on Sunday... bringing
accumulating snow to the region from late Sunday evening through
Tuesday afternoon. Snowfall totals of 5 to 10 inches are possible
across northeast Kansas... northern... and central Missouri. Blowing
snow may also be a concern Monday night and Tuesday as northwest
winds gust up to 30 mph. While exact snow amounts remain somewhat
uncertain... the overall probability of accumulating snow is high."

We'll see how this comes out. Just in case I fetched some more gas for the snow blower. Will I ever get my Harley home? If we get the predicted 10 inches, that'll give me 20 inches in my front yard. I did make an interesting discovery about this last snow. It has the right consistency, flake size, fall rate and had sufficient wind packing that it resulted in snow that is suitable for cutting into blocks. Blocks that can be used for  making igloo's, forts, wall or whatever. But do I see any neighborhood kids doing that? Fuck no. Lazy, unimaginative bastards that they are.
Anyway, here's what it is shaping up to look like.

I'm on the line that divides 6-8 and 10-13. What a relief, right?

Come And Take Them, One shot At A Time

I found a reference to this song and video today and kinda liked it, so here it is.

And TV in all its might has refused to air this as a paying commercial. Fucktards!

Smowmaggedon 2013

Here in the midst of a horrible drought in the Midwest, a dry winter too, has reigned. Little to no moisture this winter. Then, BAM, 10 inches of snow in a few hours. Really, it started snowing at my castle at 7:36 AM. A few little flakes drifting around in the still cold air. Then a few more and a few more and then a LOT more. Then as a guy I know says, a whole fuck ton of snow. Visibility went to less than half of a block.
Here are some pics I took hour by hour. Each picture of the tree is and hourly progression starting at 7:45AM.  Late afternoon I got he snow thrower fired an went at it. Huh, first time in nearly 50 years that I have used power equipment to move snow. I have always done it with a shovel of some sort and my back. Well, no more my friends. The last two time I had to shovel snow my left hip went out and I found myself dragging myself back to the house. When my brother moved to, GULP, Kalifornia he left his snowthrower with me. This is the first time I have used it. It still makes you tired but not like shoveling the white shit all freaking day does. My grand total here was real close to 10 inches. Now that I have everything all cleared I hear that we are expecting another one on Sunday. Shit. I just got my Harley running and Mother Nature decides to bestow some actual winter on us. That bitch.

At It Again

My Buddy and I spent a little more time with my Harley today. Just enough, that is, so I can actually fire it up tomorrow. Fill the tanks with gas, twist the wick a couple times and hit the button. Here's the days progress. We had a late start and did a lot of bullshitting too but got it buttoned up and mostly cleaned up too.

Thunder Header exhaust and a Hyper Charger Pro Series air cleaner

                                          Almost there!

                                          All together, finally!

                                          The other side.

I actually ride this bike. Not so much in the last few years but that will be    changing. I want to hit a hundred thousand this year. All I have to do now is install a few more chrome bits and pieces and call it done.

The Bike

Guess what I've been doing again. Finally. It has taken a long time to get the energy, the desire, the drive to finish this project after the last set back. Go on, take a guess.

 Pistons connected

Jugs installed

Heads, intake and carb intalled

By the way, those are 700 lb. springs with titanium keepers

Front rocker box installed

Working on the back rocker box

Assembled!

Now I need to install the exhaust, gas tanks, and seat. Then comes the good part, firing this beast up. Finally! Thanks to a good friend of mine this is getting done. More pictures to come.

I Had A Hankering

Saturday, I was wanting something but couldn't put my finger on it. By afternoon I  had it figured out. Wings. yep, I wanted a big ol' pile of wings. I found a package in the freezer, defrosted them, cut 'em up and seasoned them. Then I put the bowl full in the refrigerator over night. This afternoon I whipped up a really nice spicy raspberry chipoltle honey bbq sauce for them. I then fired up the stove and got a pot of oil going. The next step was to dredge the wings in seasoned flour and deep fry 'em. When they were crispy I coated them in the sauce. I sure wish ya'll could taste this. Damn that's good!

The King

I love big honkin' revolvers. Sadly I have let all mine go in various ways. stolen, traded, sold. So, imagine my delight when a friend of mine brought me a Colt King Cobra chambered in .357 Magnum to clean. It was so gummy that the cylinder would bind up and occasionally the cylinder would not close after it was opened. Wow, it was nasty! I cleaned and detailed this stainless beast, gave it a good lube with a high tech synthetic lubricant and now, it is slicker than a cat's ass. The trigger on this six shooter rivals those of Smith and Wessons offerings. It breaks crisp and sharp at about 2-3 pounds of pressure. Very nice!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the Colt King Cobra!

Mooooore Booollits Puhlees

The dick heads at DHS are ordering another 21 million rounds for use against us. Oh wait, it's all for training purposed right? Wrong. We know what they need a billion or so rounds for. They need them for all us gun owners, second amendment supporter, preppers, anti-big government types who are buying guns and ammo like, like, well like there's gonna be a war or something. So, friends I say it again, arm up, train up, stock up and keep your powder dry and the beans and first aid handy. "Cause you know as well as I do that sooner or later and it's looking like sooner, folks like us are going to have some midnight visitors with no know warrants in hand. Then come the daylight disappearing acts.. Do a little research on someone elses computer, consult a map and be ready to act. Because that day is coming. You know it's coming when the government is dismissing Generals if they won;t give the order to have US troops fire on US citizens, when the government and their lackeys say it's alright to use drones against US citizens. So, get you and your stuff ready.

A Sharp Little Chopper

So this evening I was sharpening the Little Chopper. It must be made of pretty good steel as it took a really keen edge. I got the bleeding stopped pretty quick.

A Little Chopper

A few years ago my maternal Grandpa passed away. After he died the familial vampire started moving things out in a wholesale manner. I managed to squirrel away a little project that Grandpa had started and never finished. Somewhere along the way he had acquired a tiny little Craftsman hatchet head. He then took a hickory hammer handle and reduced it to fit the socket of the hatchet. The rest of the handle was merely hacked away to a smaller size and never finished.
A few days ago I found this little chopper and got to work on it. I cut, shaved, rasped away on the handle until I had something that fit the tiny hatchet. I then finished it with some Linspeed gun stock oil. I think it came out pretty good. Watcha think Grandpa? One day I'll get some leather and make a tiny little belt sheath for it.

Monday MILFs

Maybe this will make me feel better. A few MILFS.

Life Sucks The Big One

I'm sorry for the lack postings but things have been very interesting for me lately. And not in a good way. A couple weeks ago my employer came to me saying that my performance in the computer area was not up to snuff and I had made some mistakes on a certain federal form. After a friendly discussion we agreed that due to the interactions and side effects of the several drugs I take things would not really change. So we agreed that we would part ways at the end of January. So, since that time I have been looking for a job in every available moment. The fateful day arrived and we parted on good terms. On the way home I got a call from Chery Pie. Not a good one either. I come home to a half emptied house. We spent a good hour and a half on the phone with no real progress.
So for the last several days, my mind reeling, I get slowly stewed every night so that I can at least get some sleep. During the day if I can find something to stay busy with, things are somewhat OK. But when the shadows grow long and the light starts to fade my mind goes into overdrive. Reasons escape me, question arise over and over again. A snippet of an old Hank junior song seems tailor written for this moment."... I can't, eat I can't sleep, I can't watch no love scenes on TV........."
Yesterday, we had a frank face to face conversation. It went well. But it seems this one is going to take some time.
And that's all I'll say about that.

I do have a new best friend though...
