Just A Little Hurt

This morning I was in the basement working on a gun and lost track of time. I ended up running out the door without taking or bringing and of my several meds. After a long day of of no pain killers I realize how screwed up I am. Neck, back, hips, both knees, one shoulder, all screaming out for attention. Damn, I don't recall treating my self that bad. Well, yeah I do. I was always rough and hard on myself. Even broke down as I am I still tend to push it to hard and end up screwed up for several days. As I type this my hands are shaking from the pain. Damn it all to hell! But ya know what? I wouldn't have done anything different. The only good thing about today is that  this, my friends, is the last day of the job that is completing the destruction of my body. Yes the janitorial job is over, done.Yeah I know what you're thinking. Janitorial? Yes, I'm so broken down that a freaking janitors job is killing my knees and back. So I'm taking the pay cut and dropping tht one. I am getting more hours at the pawn shop though. Still, it's been a long painful day.

The Allure Of Check Cashing

This morning, the morning of my midweek day off, I went to cash one of my last checks from my night time cleaning gig. I use a place called Check Into Cash. They are helpful and convenient too. Recently the local branch hired a young woman to run the store.  This young lass is a beauty. Petite, right around 5 feet tall with a mass of dark brown hair hair spilling down past her shoulders. Her pale skin contrasts nicely with her hair color. Warm brown eyes set of her attractive face. She is slim but possesses a nice backside and great legs too. Today, a warm November day, she chose to wear a white muslin dress, an off one shoulder affair that ended above her knees. She is quiet but responds to compliments with a quick smile and a flash of pearly white teeth. Sadly, I only have very few more upcoming trips to this business as I have quit my night job and only have one or two checks to cash there. Oh, well. Life goes on.

It's The Guns I Tell Ya

If you own guns you have the power to protect you and yours, If you are the State, if you have the guns, supposedly, you can protect the citizens. If you happen to be the Federal government, and you have ALL the guns, then you can protect the states or you can turn then inward and intimidate and rule your subjects. It's all about the guns. Not really, but it seems that way. There have been many inroads made into the concealed carry movement. Open carry is making the news now. Gun sales are booming, and shooting classes and schools are booked up. Look at these article from today. This was found in a quick search.

Any way, Ah got mine and ahm gittin' more. You do the same, ya hear?

And The Communists Say...

I just scored this off of Pravda, the Russian news agency. Take a read of their interpretation of the re-election of  Barry. I mean, the Russians, they know communism and socialism. Hell they invented those versions of politics.

"Putin in 2009 outlined his strategy for economic success. Alas, poor Obama did the opposite but nevertheless was re-elected. Bye, bye Miss American Pie. The Communists have won in America with Obama but failed miserably in Russia with Zyuganov who only received 17% of the vote. Vladimir Putin was re-elected as President keeping the NWO order out of Russia while America continues to repeat the Soviet mistake.

After Obama was elected in his first term as president the then Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin gave a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January of 2009. Ignored by the West as usual, Putin gave insightful and helpful advice to help the world economy and saying the world should avoid the Soviet mistake.

Recently, Obama has been re-elected for a 2nd term by an illiterate society and he is ready to continue his lies of less taxes while he raises them. He gives speeches of peace and love in the world while he promotes wars as he did in Egypt, Libya and Syria. He plans his next war is with Iran as he fires or demotes his generals who get in the way."

After that what the hell can I say?

Pravda went on to say this...

"President Vladimir Putin could never have imagined anyone so ignorant or so willing to destroy their people like Obama much less seeing millions vote for someone like Obama. They read history in America don't they? Alas, the schools in the U.S. were conquered by the Communists long ago and history was revised thus paving the way for their Communist presidents. Obama has bailed out those businesses that voted for him and increased the debt to over 16 trillion with an ever increasing unemployment rate especially among blacks and other minorities. All the while promoting his agenda."

They HAVE been paying attention haven't they?

And then here is what they have to say about our recent election and the recent call for secession...

"Soros and his ownership of the company that counts the US votes in Spain helped put their puppet in power in the White House. According to the Huffington Post, residents in all 50 states have filed petitions to secede from the Unites States. We'll say that these Americans are hostages to the Communists in power. How long will their government reign tyranny upon them?"

Read the whole thing here. It's quite elucidating. They know us better than we know ourselves it seems.

After Action Report Or Dinner Aftermath

Whew! This afternoon I told my nephew I was going to eat until I was uncomfortable. And I did. Wow. I am stuffed to the gills but the home made cranberry sauce I made turned out great! Thanks to Stephen and one of his commenters for that. The final nail in this gastronomical coffin was the extra piece of fruit cocktail cake. The ham, turkey, riced cheesy potatoes, the noodles, the, the, the...it all added to the queasy toll.

Later this evening I was feeling much better. So...I made a little sandwich of a wheat roll loaded with some ham. Wrong. Stuffed again.
But tomorrow I can have a turkey, stuffing and mayo sandwich. The best part of the Thanksgiving dinner is the leftovers.

Y' all have a wonderful evening and a magnificent Black Friday. Me? I'll be working. Gotta pay off those treasures in layaway! Pics to come, I promise!

Chemtrail Rebuttal

In my Post called "What I Saw Today" I commented on the chemtrails I witnessed. A commenter, Blayloc, had this to say, getting his information from good ol' wikipedia:

"You mean contrails? A jet engine produces carbon dioxide and water vapor just like every other combustion reaction. When this water vapor hits the cold atmosphere at those altitudes it condenses into solid water droplets, a condensation trail, or contrail."

I ask this, how long has it been since you saw an actual contrail? One that evaporated soon after its creation? Nowadays, they seem to hang around for hours and eventually spread out to cover vast portions of the sky. Many times the chemtrails are in a regular grid.

Here is some info on chemtrails, which have been identified since 1997.  Here some more with comparisons of contrails and chemtrails. Here is a site that details some of the chemical composition of the chemtrails. And shows many pictures of planes actually spraying as well as some of the patterns of a sprayed sky. And this site has a link to an upcoming class action lawsuit over chemtrails.

I could keep doing this all freaking night but why? Take that wiki. Chemtrails ARE documented and HAVE been analyzed. The ill health effects have been determined and they are not good.

Now after all that ,

 Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Fun Show Report

I made it to the fun show this morning. It was in a little town that was once known as the former mule capitol of the world. No, really. This town produced all the mules for Great Britain and Indian armies back when they used mules. Big stout Missouri mules by the thousands. Look it up, Lathrop Missouri. Any way, this was a little show at the antique equipment fairground. During the spring and summer months they have steam tractor shows and various old equipment shows and flea markets. You know of a place like this I'm sure. So this show was cheap to get into, 3 bucks and there were about 25 dealers. This venue gave a lot of time to bs with dealers and customers. As trading stock I took a NEF Sportster SS1 in .22 LR. It had a BSA red dot sight topping it off. In short order I had swapped it for an NEF single shot 12 gauge shotgun and 50 bucks. I then made my way to the sole knife dealer at this show. They had a new Camillus USMC type knife in stainless. It has a flat grind with a traditional stacked leather handle. the black sheath is composed of heavy leather. They were asking 65 and I walked off with it for 45. Not too shabby. I ended up making 10 bucks today. Take a look.

Food Pic II

I made a roasted chicken for dinner a couple of weeks ago. It was really good too. I simply took a nice size hen and rubbed it with butter and sprinkled a little salt and pepper on it and stuck it in the oven for, well, until it was done. Yummy too! Show us your food pictures please.

Food Picture

Stephen over at Standing Outside Looking In has posted some nice looking pictures of food lately and has asked others to follow suit. I didn't make these today, but several days ago. I do love my biscuits. Tall, tender and tasty. Good by themselves, or covered in sausage gravy or honey or jelly or butter or filled with a slab of sausage or bacon and a fried egg. Mmmmm. A good biscuit cain't be beat.

What I Saw Today

This morning dawned cool and bright with a hazy sky. I ran to McD's to get Cherry Pie a breakfast sammie. She's feeling poorly and that's what she wanted, so....
Any way I finally left for work at the pawn shop and the first thing I saw was a moronic driver but I won't get into that. Then I got to looking at the sky during my drive. The haze I was seeing was not clouds but a multitude of chemtrails. The entire sky was covered in a haze of new trails, old broad trails and nearly indistinguishable trails but they were all identifiable as chemtrails, dozens and dozens of them. Who knows what rained down on our heads today.
After I got to work and exited my truck, I heard a car moving at a rapid pace, on the highway next to the building. I turned and saw a new camaro really bustin' a move on 435 South. He had to be doing 120 by the look of his passes. It seem as he got further away his exhaust note changed. Then I realized it WAS a different exhaust note. I started looking and on 435 North saw a late 70's or early 80's blown corvette hustling up the road. What a sight! What a sound!
Business at the pawn shop started off brisk. And stayed that way all day. The next thing I saw was another item I desire.  I really need blinders at this place. A High Standard Derringer in 22 LR in stainless steel with a custom made back pocket holster. It is around 95 percent. It looks similar to this:

Only better. I really want this one. Hopefully this'n 'll hang out awhile, waiting on me. I hear it calling my name now.

The next thing I saw was a ...tweaker. She wanted to pawn an electronic game to help pay for a new phone as the "only thing in life she cares about" got broken this morning. Man, she was in full tweak. Scratching, shaking, hugging herself, crying, indecisive. She had to frequently ask for assistance from the man accompanying her. Pitiful.
The last interesting thing I saw this evening was something we don't see a lot of around here. A black man in full hunting camo. Complete with "leafy" pants. He looked happy as could be. I really envied him for what ever it was he he had been doing on this beautiful November day.
Well that's all I saw today. Some were cool, some were terrible. It was just another day in the life of a Midwest Rebel. I do have a small local fun show to attend tommorrow. Yay for me!

Say Goodbye to Twinkie, Say Goodbye to Zinger, Say...

Every bodies favorite snack brand, Hostess is having labor issues. After a protracted strike by the Teamsters and the Bakers Unions, the Teamsters accepted the companies demands. The Bakers rejected the deal.

"The new contract cut salaries across the company by eight percent in the first year of the five-year agreement. Salaries were then scheduled to bump up three percent in the next three years and one percent in the final year.

Hostess also reduced its pension obligations and its contribution to the employees’ health care plan. In exchange, the company offered concessions, including a 25 percent equity stake for workers and the inclusion of two union representatives on an eight-member board of directors."

Hostess makes and distributes well known items such as Twinkies, Zingers, Hostess Cupcakes, mini pies, Wonder Bread and many, many others that millions of people have grown up with and depend on to keep their carb count exceedingly high and their sweet tooth satisfied. That all my be ending though.

Hostess has,

" announced Friday that it is asking a federal bankruptcy court for permission to close its operations, blaming a strike by bakers protesting a new contract imposed on them"

Some of the concessions included a pay cut for a couple years then a pay increase for a couple years and then Hostess was to reduce their involvement in the pension and employee health care plans.

I guess the Bakers would rather be on unemployment instead of collecting a nice Union wage.

We are not talking about a local bakery either. Hostess or Interstate Brands has may employees, bakeries and distribution centers. This is a major deal and if the court grants the Company the right to close many thousands of people will be out of work. Now Hostess is not innocent. In the past eight years they have "reorganized" twice. But in the interest of the employees, Hostess would change the make up of the board.

" In exchange, the company offered concessions, including a 25 percent equity stake for workers and the inclusion of two union representatives on an eight-member board of directors".

How big is this possible closing?

" The closing will result in Hostess’ nearly 18,500 workers losing their jobs as the company shuts 33 bakeries and 565 distribution centers nationwide. The bakers’ union represents around 5,000."

I want to ask those Bakers, hows that Union thing working out for ya now?
Union mentality has ruined yet another business. Unions had their golden days, they have brought about employee protections and in general made workers lives better. But, when they tell a company we will not accept your deal, even if it comes to closing the business. We would rather stand on a corner and beg for our living. I have only one thing to say,  Fucking idiots.

Hey Ken, enjoy your time off my friend! I know life is hard but you will get through these trying times.

Just A Little Secish

I have been reading all the stories about States that have submitted petitions to the white house website, calling for secession. 23 States in all. Texas, has far surpassed the 25,000 requires signature, but, hey, we figured that right? I mean it IS Texas. But, Louisiana is edging ever closer to that number. My own State, Missouri needs another 11K or so. Some States have only had  a few hundred signers do their thing.

Now don't get me wrong, these petitions have a shorter life span that that snowball in Hades. I mean the President has to sign off on them. Do you think that Obummer is gonna do that? What President would? What kind if signal does that send? One of strength and political skill? I think not.
Does signing these petitions make one feel better? Most likely. Does it show the level of discontent in this country? It sure does.
Now a lot of folks have been flapping their jaws about wanting to do something, anything about their disappointment in the government. Well here's your chance to do something. Symbolic yeah, but if ya wanna walk the walk ya gotta talk the talk. Would you preferred armed insurrection over a peaceful withdrawal? Politely asking is far superior than outright demanding at the point of a gun. So, to make it easy for you:

Create an account at the white house website
https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/register?destination=petitions

The find your States petition by clicking on Open Petitions
Scroll to your States petition, click on Find Out More, then click on Sign Petition.

Are you worried about creating an account with the white house website? If you have a federal license of any kind you are on a list, if you have a firearms or political blog, most likely you're on a list. If you have searched certain terms on Google you may be on a list. It goes on and on. So put your fears aside, buck up and sign the petition.

Getting Bigger By The Moment, Government That Is

6,125 proposed regulations in the last 90 day. 68 possible new laws or rules every fucking day. Now answer me this...Is that an example of smaller government? We have no chance to survive this leviathon.

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/6125-proposed-regulations-and-notifications-posted-last-90-days-average-68-day

Pitter Patter...

I'm sitting here enjoying a biscuit with honey and listening to  the pitter patter of sleet against the window for the first time this year. What will the future hold for this winter? Snow? Ice? Sleet? Bitter cold? The options are exciting to me! The day dawned with a hard, icy rain pounding on the roof. Heavy grey clouds obscuring the sun. Wind, whistling past the eves, stripping the last red, gold leaves from the trees. Winter signals it's approach.

But, but, It's Ours!

I'm sure you've heard of the emergence of tungsten filled gold bars and ingots. Ya know, fake gold bars that seem to emanate from well, us. Or that is US as in United States. The word is getting out in the international community too. Germany wants all of it's gold that is being held in the New Your Federal Reserve to come home. The Fed says not a chance. WTF? What would you do if you went to your bank and said please let me have my money and they said, in the interest of security and protecting the process, we will not give it to you, we will not let you see it either?

"Calls for Germany to repatriate its 1,536 tons of gold reserves held at the NY Fed are intensifying as Der Spiegel reports the Federal Reserve has refused to allow German inspectors to even view the country’s massive gold reserves “in the interest of security and of the control process."

Go read the whole sordid story of this deception. Let this be a lesson to all of us, if you buy any precious metal, take possession of it at the time of the sale. Do not let the seller or the bank or the whatever hold it for you. If a major nation such as Germany can't get to their deposit, what are our chances?
If the German gold is really gold clad tungsten, where is the real gold? Is this what is funding all our wars? Is it the funding for the One Worlders? The Bilderburgers? The shadow government? I'd sure like to know.

An Open Letter

There has been a downfall in morale in the militia community since the recent election. Brothers and Sisters, keep your heads up and your powder dry. You are not alone, you will have companionship in your final days. Please read the attached open letter below.

PROPHECY CAN BE FOUND IN THE STRANGEST OF PLACES.

The United States Militias are with you. Do not despair, do not relent. We welcome the

removal of masks and the hardness of truth. You are not alone. We were here when it all started.

We have paid in blood and tears for thirty years, as many of you now realize you will have to pay.

Do not let fear drive you. Do not give up five minutes before the miracle occurs. You are not

beaten until you are in the cold hard ground. Do not hide. Do not give up one inch. Go boldly into

the fray with faith in your heart and a song on your lips. You, the Patriots of this age are our Sinn

Fein, we need you to stand. And in standing, become the stone that can not be moved. Find the

Militia in your State, you will find a brotherhood that the Marxists and the Corrupt can not

match. You will be welcomed, you will be educated, you will be trained to be an effective freedom

fighter.

“We are what our forefathers envisioned, strong-willed,and self-reliant. We are the legacy they

fought to build. We are not anti-government, We are anti-corruption. We are not anti-immigrant,

We are pro-citizenship. We are not separatists, We are Constitutionalists. We know our history

and revere it, We love our country and fear for it. We are your mechanics, and your insurance

agents. Your police and your firefighters. We are your neighbors. We are Citizens and We are the

Militia.”

“HARD RAIN”

Oh, where have you been, my blue-eyed son?

Oh, where have you been, my darling young one?

I’ve stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains

I’ve walked and I’ve crawled on six crooked highways

I’ve stepped in the middle of seven sad forests

I’ve been out in front of a dozen dead oceans

I’ve been ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard

And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, and it’s a hard

And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

Oh, what did you see, my blue-eyed son?

Oh, what did you see, my darling young one?

I saw a newborn baby with wild wolves all around it

I saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it

I saw a black branch with blood that kept drippin’

I saw a room full of men with their hammers a-bleedin’

I saw a white ladder all covered with water

I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken

I saw guns and sharp swords in the hands of young children

And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard

And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

And what did you hear, my blue-eyed son?

And what did you hear, my darling young one?

I heard the sound of a thunder, it roared out a warnin’

Heard the roar of a wave that could drown the whole world

Heard one hundred drummers whose hands were a-blazin’

Heard ten thousand whisperin’ and nobody listenin’

Heard one person starve, I heard many people laughin’

Heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter

Heard the sound of a clown who cried in the alley

And it’s a hard, and it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard

And it’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

Oh, who did you meet, my blue-eyed son?

Who did you meet, my darling young one?

I met a young child beside a dead pony

I met a white man who walked a black dog

I met a young woman whose body was burning

I met a young girl, she gave me a rainbow

I met one man who was wounded in love

I met another man who was wounded with hatred

And it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard

It’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

Oh, what’ll you do now, my blue-eyed son?

Oh, what’ll you do now, my darling young one?

I’m a-goin’ back out ’fore the rain starts a-fallin’

I’ll walk to the depths of the deepest black forest

Where the people are many and their hands are all empty

Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters

Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison

Where the executioner’s face is always well hidden

Where hunger is ugly, where souls are forgotten

Where black is the color, where none is the number

And I’ll tell it and think it and speak it and breathe it

And reflect it from the mountain so all souls can see it

Then I’ll stand on the ocean until I start sinkin’

But I’ll know my song well before I start singin’

And it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard, it’s a hard

It’s a hard rain’s a-gonna fall

The Obama Files

I just ran across this series of videos. They are very interesting and come courtesy of the Obama Files. Go on over and sit for a spell.

A Few Good Things

There have been some good things as a result of this election. Not many, but ya gotta take 'em when ya get 'em.

Several states challenged the unconstitutional meddling of the federal government on Tuesday

Reports are already coming in that gun sales are booming after the re-election of Barack Obama, with gun manufacturers seeing their stocks soar as the Obama administration moves to ramp up gun
control efforts via the United Nations.

The Ron Paul movement is a big winner here. The GOP told the libertarians in the party to get lost, and the GOP paid for it. Interestingly, both Iowa and Nevada, where Ron Paul supporters gained control of the state party, both went to Obama after the Romney campaign actively fought to disenfranchise Ron Paul supporters. I guess the GOP got what it wanted there.

It Has Started, The Beginning of the Tsunami

You know all those regulations that Obamacare is full of? Do you remember how many business owners said that those regs would bankrupt them unless they laid off a bunch of employees? Do you remember the quote "the gloves are off"? Take a look at these stories to see what's coming down the pike. It has started, we'll see if this becomes a trend. Click on them for the full story.

"I had to lay off 22 people today to make sure that my business is gonna thrive and I’m gonna be around for years to come. I have to build up that nest egg now for the taxes and regulations that are coming my way. Elections do have consequences, but so do choices. A choice you make every day has consequences and you know what, I’ve always put my employees first, but unfortunately today I have to put me and my family first, and you watch what’s gonna happen. I’m just one guy with 114 employees — well was 114 employees — watch what happens in the next six months. The Dow alone lost 314 points today. There’s a tsunami coming and if you didn’t think this election had consequences, just wait.”

Boeing announced a major restructuring of its defense division on Wednesday that will cut 30 percent of management jobs from 2010 levels, close facilities in California and consolidate several business units to cut costs

Less than 24 hours after winning re-election, President Barack Obama’s administration joined with China, France, Germany and the United Kingdom, and more than 150 other governments, in supporting renewed debate on the proposed United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, confirming the worst fears of the American gun rights community.

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who has championed gun control in her state for decades and co-wrote the original assault weapons ban enacted by the federal government in the 1990′s, wishes to bring even more stringent federal mandates to the land of the free.

What Good?

It is incomprehensible to me that this nation elected this moron again. I cannot think of a single good thing he has done for this country. Labor Unions, shame on you. Hispanic voters, shame on you, black voters, shame on you. Can anyone name one good thing Barry has done for this country? Can you name several things he has done TO this country? Off the top of my head...

Obamacare
Fast and Furious
Solyndra
Benghazi
Hurricane Sandy reaction or lack of
Persecution of Big Business and Coal Energy
Denial of the Keystone Pipeline
Using Czar's to bypass Congress
Stimulus Bill (election support payback)
Refusal to prosecute the Black Panthers
Sued Arizona over it's immigration bill that supported US law
Named socialist/communists/progressives to staff
Shut down the oil industry in the Gulf
His Sec State signed onto UN small arms treaty
His green energy failures
Did the infamous apology tour
He has no diplomacy when dealing with other nations
Has distanced our only ally in the Middle East
Spent millions on White House concerts and parties, vacations and date nights
Wanted service men and women to provide own insurance
His lies to conceal his true identity

I'm sure the list goes on and on.
And the voters of this Nation elected him again?

Four More Years of a Decent to Socialism

My heart weeps, my soul is dark, my spirit is enraged, my mind is reeling. Four more years of shoddy statesmanship by an illegal alien, a Manchurian candidate, a total unknown who has hidden his entire background at the expense of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Whose dollars, we don't know. A stake has been driven through heart of the Republic.
This impostor has four more years to complete his systematic destruction of the United States and surrender us to the islamists and the socialists. We are well and truly fucked.
At least he can't blame Bush now, or will he? It is incomprehensible to me that this jack ass has been re-elected but then when most of the country depends on a government check, food stamps, disability or paycheck, the vote has been bought.

A Thought and A Couple Of Songs

I just had a couple thoughts on my excursion of this morning. I went to a polling place, a library and a grocery store. All three of those places do not allow weapons, specifically guns and knives. At all three places I engaged people in conversation, had some laughs, exchanged some serious thoughts with them and none of them ever had a clue that I had a giant f'n knife in my front pocket and a big bore revolver in my back pocket. I will NOT be disarmed in a victim disarmament zone. I will not be a victim.

While driving around town I heard this, one of my favorite songs...

Then I heard this one too. I had forgotten how good Tracy Chapman's singing is.

Voting Day and Other Stuff

I got up this morning brushed my teeth, scraped my face and took a shower. Got dressed in a hurry and went to the polling place. When I arrived parking was pretty slim. I parked on the grass at the entrance to the lot. When I came out it was a steady stream of cars entering and not many parking places left. This polling place is one of the larger churches in town and accordingly has a pretty good size parking lot. Packed. Lined up along the driveway.
I got my form, blacked in all the ovals next to Libertarians and in the absence of a Libertarian the Republican oval got filled in. There, I may have committed a misdemeanor. It is illegal in Missourah and other states to "show" how you voted. So, those emails and tweets with pics of the completed ballot are illegal. Writing about it? I don't know. I met a few folks in line who were voting for the first time in their lives. What's that say about this election?

After voting I went to get a couple gallons of Kangen water and ended up watching the shop while she went to vote.
When our friend the shop owner got back I showed her a text message I get from Price Chopper. They do a weekly text with a loss leader as the bait. Today it was a 4 pound bag of sugar for one dollar. She said oh so smugly, 'I don't use sugar" Well good for you. Is she going to start turning down all those cakes, pies and cookies we bring to her? When I got my sugar the store also had a special on left over halloween cookies, 2 large trays for 2.79. What a deal on whole bunch of sweet stuff.
Hey, I also squeezed in a trip to the library and a hair cut. The hair cut, hmmm, When I go to a salon, the girls and women that cut my hair end up taking a loooonng time to do it and I never get the cut I asked for. But, I have had women cut my hair for nearly 35 years and to  have a man cut it now seems well, it seems just a little queer. Yeah that kind of queer. Today I had a cute little tooth pick of a girl cut my hair. While her little girl watched. I also notice no wedding ring on her hand. There are so many young women in this town that have children an no husband or father figure for the kids. Is this a deficiency of the young men in this town or a decision on the part of the girls. Or is this a nation wide situation? Either way it's sad.

A Long Gone Dude

A while back Cherry and I acquired a 9 month old black and white border collie. He has grown to be a spirited, intelligent, and well, a rather athletic dog. He really kept our German Shepherd on his toes. The little guy developed a nasty habit of jumping the fence and going for a romp around town. We tried a cable, deterrence sprays, and in the last couple of days an electrified wire on the fence. The electric fence just taught him to jump higher. So, after several calls from the animal control freaks, we had to get rid of the little guy. My brother in law and his wife took him in. They are partial to dogs and seem to always have a new rescued dog around the mansion. The little guy is long gone now. So long little guy.

We dropped the dog off when we went to the monthly family dinner of Cherry's family. We had a nice beef and vegetable soup with crescent rolls. Dessert was walnut brownies with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. Mmmmmm!

I Like Guns

I know you've seen this video but since it fits me I'm putting it here this morning. I have to say, I like guns!

It's A Changy Thang

I've gotta new look here. Whaddya think? I got tired of the narrow columns that were not adjustable. So this morning I made the change. Now you can view this site with full size pictures and graphics. By the way, you're welcome.

I'm Just Sayin'

Head over to Zoomies world and pick up a couple or three of his III art work. Help promote the III efforts and get this man's talents out there.

Just A Little Bite

I bit the bullet today and put a Remington pump 22 on lay-a-way. I could not stand looking at the disgraceful "artwork" that had been carved into the side of the receiver any longer. Evidently at some point in the past one of the previous owners had transferred this gun to another individual and to commemorate the deal had taken a nail or knife or his devilish claw and scratched ...'Blankety blank asswipe to moronic person" in the side of the receiver. Such a disgusting act could not be tolerated in my eye any longer. Once I have this gem home, I will file the offending crap off the side and then do my usual work to it and hopefully it will look all better.

It is  572 Fieldmaster much like this one...

Only this one isn't boogered up by a dickhead. In reality, the one I'm getting has decent wood and has the usual faded blue on the barrel from light surface rust. I plan on leaving the wood as is and redoing the receiver as well as rubbing some Oxpho Blue on the barrel and magazine tube just to darken them.

A Couple More

Well, a couple more rifles have made it to gun rack at work. The first is a pre-warning Ruger 10/22. It's got the nice walnut Ruger used to put on them. Remember those days? And the second is an 1894 Marlin lever action in 44-40 caliber. This  one has had the metal refinished and we cannot tell if it is nickle plated or is just polished out to a high shine. Either way it's a good looking firearm. In the pistol case we have a nickle plated, High Standard H-B 22 auto loading pistol. It needs a recoil spring unfortunately. It has some markings on the nickle and is in my opinion about 70 percent. The coming days will let me see if any more of these classics will make it to our shelves or stay in storage until the auction.
